From Glen & Beth McDonald, BCA Roxby Downs (December 2025):

  • Praise God for a smooth transition back to life and ministry in Japan.

  • Praise God for the baptism of Ema-chan and others in our church. Please Pray that God will continue to call and bring many Japanese people into His kingdom.

  • Praise God for the growing number of international students attending Crossing Fellowship. Please Pray for more unity and meaningful interaction between Japanese and international students in KGK.

  • Praise God for His grace and for your support, which have made it possible for me to reach 10 years of service as a CMS missionary. Please pray for a one-month extended leave in January, that I may have meaningful time with my parents abroad and return refreshed and encouraged.

  • Praise God for Christmas! Please Pray for God’s mercy and grace for not-yet believers in Japan as they attend Christmas carols and services invited by Christian friends and family.

From Simon and Lydia, SIM Asia (November 2025):

Pray for continual student growth at our English centre, both to help keep the business viable and for the opportunity to impact these students’ lives.

CEIS (November 2025)

Praise and thank God for:

  • The creativity of volunteers who meet students where they’re at, helping them explore God’s big story through the stories of God rescuing his people through the Exodus and into the promised land, and ultimately through Jesus.

  • Answers to prayer re: three schools that have previously been very resistant to advertising CEIS and had low student numbers - things have changed in each that mean the doors are more open for students to come to CEIS in the future (e.g. sending out permission slips, nominating a new liaison).

  • The abundance of parent requests for Christian Education in public schools across Canberra - we had 30 new enrolments in the last 2 months!

Pray and ask God for:

  • An influx of new volunteers for teaching and resource preparation for 2026 and beyond.

  • Students in CEIS sessions to be curious about what Christians believe Christmas is about... and remember it’s about Jesus whenever they see stars or angel decorations!

  • A secretary and comms volunteer for the CEIS sub-committee.
